The award-winning Lighthouse Youth Theater (LYT) presents the first Youth Theater Production in Westchester County of LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL. Having won over audiences across the nation, Elle, Bruiser and friends will make their LYT debut for ONE WEEKEND ONLY limited engagement. Performances will be at Yorktown Stage tonight, June 8th (7:30pm), June 9th (2 & 7:30 pm), June 10th (2 pm).

Based on the hit movie, LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL is a fresh and effervescent evening of musical fun. Nominated for 7 Tony Awards including BEST SCORE and BEST CHOREOGRAPHY. Elle Woods is the college sweetheart and homecoming queen who doesn't take no for an answer. So when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her for someone ‘serious,’ Elle puts down the credit cards, hits the books, and heads for Harvard Law School. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style. This high-energy pop musical's fun and catchy score features music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Neil Benjamin, and a hysterical book by Heather Hach.

Two Mt. Kisco residents will portray Elle Woods; Brittany Dassa and Lauren Moore. Both performers have been with LYT many years and their dedication and talent will come through loud and clear as they take the stage. The cast also features Shannon Stout & Olivia Paganelli (Paulette), Trevor Carr (Emmett), Tim Stout (Professor Callahan), Dante Palminteri (Warner), Carley Dieck & Ashley Dassa (Vivienne), Alex Bradsell & Catherine O’Donnell (Brooke), Alyssa DiPanfilo & Carolyn Savoia (Serena), Caeley Perrine & Sarah Zuk (Pilar), Sam Bell & Sarah Heinzmann (Margot), Morgan Sullivan & Melissa Magaliff (Enid), Greg Markert (Kyle), Josh De Michele (Nikos), Michela Masotti & Sami Naus (Kate), and Jenna Rush & Tess Cronin (Chutney). The Ensemble is comprised of many other young actors from Westchester, Putnam and Connecticut including Cali Bronkema, Greg Carey, Julia Ciccone, Antonio Dell’Orto, Nola Dunkin, Michaela Durr, Michelle Eskin, Rosie Evans, Jackson Fanelli, Leandra Fischman, Carina Florino, Claudia Greco, Michael Herwitz, Amanda Higley, Casey Hunter, Jimmy Jackson, Kenzie Kyle, Ellie Logan, Aliya Mayers, Andrea Morano, Kimmi Naus, Caitlin O’Connell, Elizabeth Rosenshein, Lauren Sugantino, Charlotte Whalen and Lindsay Wilkes.

LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL is Directed by John J. Fanelli with Choreography by Jesse Pellegrino and Musical Direction by Bill Magaliff. Production Stage Management by Diane Bradsell with Assistant Stage Management by Michael Herwitz.

The Lighthouse Youth Theatre, located in Thornwood, was created in 2006, by artistic director John Fanelli. Fanelli’s goal was to produce high caliber productions for children and teens in Westchester and the surrounding areas. LYT produces full scale productions annually for Junior Company (ages 5 – 13), Senior Company (ages 13 – 19) and runs two performing arts workshops during the summer.
