Terrific jazz, great food, fun people and a bawdy comedy are in order this Valentine's Day as Liberty Town Productions presents its second annual Valentine's Day fete, Thursday, Feb. 14, at Mickey Finn's upstairs Amber Room, 412 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.

The evening begins with a heavy hors d'oeuvres cocktail hour (cash bar) at 6:45, featuring live jazz performed by #jazzcombo. About 7:45, local theatre veterans John Durning, Susie Aiello Kiefer, Scott Metzger, Deb Smith and Jodi Thors will take the stage to present the raucous, grown-up comedy, You've Got XOXOXOV Mail.

"We showed last year that local singles and couples want to celebrate Valentine's Day with fun people in a relaxed setting," said Terry Bangs, show director and Liberty Town board member. "We did the classic, Love Letters, and received tremendous feedback.

"This year thought it would be fun to do a relationship comedy. So we chose a show originally titled, You've Got Hate Mail, an uproarious, adult farce of love, loss and foolin' around in the age of technology. It's a lot of fun.

"Our advice is to get tickets early; we're limited to 100 seats. Then find a babysitter, because this is an evening for grown-ups, and come to Finn's for a wonderful, relaxed Valentine's Day."

Tickets are $25 and available only online HERE. If any tickets are available, they will be sold at The Door beginning at 6:45.
