Singer-songwriter Lexi James is headed to Nashville for Music City's famed CRS (Country Radio Seminar) 2014, with live performances scheduled at Hard Rock Café (Feb. 20) and The Listening Room (Feb. 21).

At just 21, Lexi's road to Nashville has been anything but easy. Like many girls her age, she loves anything sparkly, anything pumpkin and anything Disney. But her journey has been filled with more challenges than most. Bullied as a child for her stuttering and her red hair, she focused on music and decided to turn her challenges into musical messages of empowerment. While most young girls would grow quiet and withdrawn and try to alter their appearance to fit in, Lexi steps onto stages and wears her fiery red curls like a red badge of courage, motivating her fans to boldly and fearlessly embrace their true selves and stand up to negativity.

"I think what I've experienced has prepared me for my career in an industry that requires a thick skin," says Lexi, who is the national spokesperson for PACER Teens Against Bullying. "I am not ashamed to be myself, even if that means being different from everybody else."
