Popular game show "Let's Make A Deal" is headed back to television. The revamped 60s television show will air on CBS and will be hosted by popular entertainer Wayne Brady. 'DEAL' is scheduled to premiere October 5th, 2009 and will replace outgoing soap "Guiding Light."

When asked about being one of the first African-Americans to host a network television show, Brady responded, "I consider myself very fortunate since I started doing ["Whose Line Is It Anyway"] in 1999. I've been part of a few firsts. And I don't know if I'm the first because you're right. The great thing about Fremantle and CBS reaching out to me, I think, speaks volumes to what I've been saying my entire career. Yes, I think it's great to be one of the only African Americans, I think, a network would consider bankable and can reach out and do this. But it's not about color or anything.

The talented performer added: "I think that I'm one of the only guys on TV that can pull off this particular show because of the skill set. The fact that I happen to be a 21-year-old black man makes it even better in the sense that other kids sitting at home can see me doing that job and go, 'I can either be president or I can be the host of a game show.' God bless America."

In a recent interview, television legend Monty Hall said: "We are delighted to have Let's Make a Deal back on the air with CBS. I know the audience is going to welcome the charming and engaging Wayne Brady as the new host."

Emmy award winning Wayne Brady is one of the most versatile men in show business. Known for hosting his own syndicated talk/variety show "The Wayne Brady Show" for two years, Brady picked up an Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show Host for his ability to act, sing, dance, and make audiences laugh. The show also won an Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show. On September 16, 2008 Peak Records/Concord Music Group will release Wayne Brady's debut album, the appropriately titled - A Long Time Coming. The 12-track R&B collection features Brady's own compositions standing side by side with his loving, inspired reinventions of such classics as Sam Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come," The Beatles' "Can't Buy Me Love" and Stevie Wonder's "All I Do." Brady's talent is too big to contain to any one format. He's currently starring in his own Las Vegas show, "Making It Up," which runs Thursday-Monday at the Venetian Hotel. The revue highlights his legendary music, dance and improv skills, for which he won an Emmy while appearing on "Whose Line is it Anyway?"
