Anchor Bay Films presents Leland Orser's writing and directorial debut, MORNING, on DVD today, October 1, 2013. A beautiful and compelling film about grief and the human spirit, MORNING stars Emmy Award nominee Jeanne Tripplehorn ("Big Love," Grey Gardens, The Firm) and Orser (Taken, The Good German, "ER"). MORNING heads to retail on DVD for an SRP of $19.98.

The film's stellar supporting cast features three-time Academy Award nominee Laura Linney ("The Big C," John Adams), Academy Award nominee Elliott Gould (Contagion, "Ray Donovan"), Emmy Award winner Kyle Chandler ("Friday Night Lights," Argo, Zero Dark Thirty), and Emmy Award nominee Jason Ritter ("Parenthood").

In his "stunning" (Stuart Fischoff, Ph. D., Psychology Today) and "powerful" (San Francisco Chronicle) feature debut as writer/director, actor Leland Orser ("ER," Taken) and Jeanne Tripplehorn ("Big Love," "Criminal Minds") star as a married couple reeling from the tragic death of their only child. For each of them, grief becomes a private torment that threatens to destroy their world. Driven apart by sorrow, they try to find their way back to each other and the chance to love again. Laura Linney ("The Big C," John Adams), Elliott Gould (Contagion, "Ray Donovan"), Kyle Chandler ("Friday Night Lights," Argo, Zero Dark Thirty) and Jason Ritter ("Parenthood") co-star in this devastating but ultimately hopeful look at heartbreak, healing, and the strength of the human spirit to defy darkness and embrace the light of MORNING.

The film was produced by Todd Traina and Minor Childers of Red Rover Films.
