Sandra Bernhard.  Saturday, October 13, 2012  8 PM  Sandra Bernhard is known for her outrageous humor, keen satire and rollicking stage shows. "Give the dame her due," writes the New York Times, "It's invigorating to be in the presence of a true original." Bernhard, who writes and develops all of her own material, has produced numerous one-woman shows over the years, and is a performer of stunning originality. We are thrilled she will open our 2012-13 Season!  Recommended for mature audiences.  Sponsored by St. Francis Hospital - Emergency Medicine Department and Glenn Grayson, Hoffman Grayson Architects LLP.  Premium $55 - Friends $50 | Standard $50 - Friends $45.  BuyBoth Landmark Laughs Comedy Series shows.

Nick Lowe.  Sunday, October 14, 2012  8 PM.  Nick Lowe has made his mark as a producer (Elvis Costello-Graham Parker-Pretenders-The Damned), songwriter of at least three songs you know by heart, short-lived career as a pop star, and a lengthy term as a musicians' musician. But in his current 'second act' as a silver-haired, tender-hearted but sharp-tongued singer-songwriter, he has no equal. Starting with 1995's 'The Impossible Bird' through to 2011's 'The Old Magic,' Nick has turned out a fantastic string of albums, each one devised in his West London home, and recorded with a core of musicians who possess the same veteran savvy. Lowe brings wit and understated excellence to every performance, leading Ben Ratliff of the New York Times to describe his live show as "elegant and nearly devastating." Hosted by WFUV's John Platt.  Roots Rock Series Sponsored by Bethpage Federal Credit Union and WFUV Radio. Program Sponsored by Dina & Philip Adsetts, Dan Hassan & Family and NYS Senator Jack M. Martins. Premium $50 - Friends $45 | Standard $45 - Friends $40. Buy all Five Shows in the Roots Rock Series and Save
