The Brick Theater, Inc., in association with Stephanie Lane, presents Lighthouse Triptych as part of Sound Scape, a festival of theatrical sound design, running June 8 at 5 p.m., June 9 at 6 p.m., June 13 at 7 p.m., June 16 at 8 p.m. and June 26 at 9 p.m.

Lighthouse Triptych is a dance-music-theater performance inspired by Virginia Woolf's novel, To the Lighthouse. Interweaving choreography, text, music, and sound in three stylistically distinct acts, the show addresses the passage of time and our perceptions of chaos versus control.

The cast features Stephanie Lane, Mackenzie Jahnke and Kyle Gerry. Sound is by Mark Van Hare and direction is by Jamie Watkins.

Stephanie LaNE (playwright, choreographer, Mrs. Ramsay) dances for Jenny Rocha & Her Painted Ladies as part of Galapagos Art Space's weekly Floating Kabarette, and for Rocha Dance Theater and Elan Artists. She was a founding member of Hole in the Sky Theater Company, which brought their original show, Dr. Apple's Last Lecture, to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2011. Her dance-theater work has been presented at La MaMa ETC, Dixon Place, Columbia University, Collision Arts Festival in Brooklyn, English First in Shanghai, and at the Gilded Balloon in Edinburgh. BA, Barnard College. Joining NYU Grad Acting, fall 2013.

MARK VAN HARE (composer/sound designer) designed the sound for Look Upon Our Lowliness at Harlem School of the Arts Theatre, Tar Baby at DR2 Theatre,Construction of the Human Heart at Access Theater, and Damascus at 4th St. Theatre. He also designed the sound for Elizabeth Rex and Much Ado About Nothing at the Stonington Opera House, composed the music for Las Meninas at Asolo Repertory Theatre, and acted as sound supervisor for The Acting Company's tours of Of Mice and Men, Julius Caesar, and The Comedy of Errors.

JAMIE WATKINS (director) has worked with Obie Award-winning directors Alec Duffy (JACK/Hoi Polloi), Rachel Chavkin (the TEAM), Ian Morgan (The New Group), Ron Russell (Epic Theatre Ensemble) and the Jeff Award-winning Redmoon Theater in Chicago, IL. As a teaching artist, he has taught in the NYC public schools, the National Student Leadership Conference on Theater, and as a Visiting Artist with Island Arts Camp in Deer Isle, Maine. He has developed and directed new works by Julia Blauvelt, Maggie Erwin, Dan Kitrosser, Andrew Massey and Noah Mease that have been produced by THEATRE 4the PEOPLE, The Secret Theatre in LIC, and Opera House Arts in Stonington, Maine. He is an Associate Artist with THEATRE 4th PEOPLE, and a proud graduate of Vassar College and LAMDA.

KYLE GERRY (Mr. Ramsay) dances with Rosario, Greyzone, and Jessica Gaynor. He has performed with Kazuko Hirabayashi Dance Theater, as a guest with the Merce Cunningham Repertory Understudy Group, and in works by Laura Peterson, Christiana Axelsen and Colleen Thomas. He is choreographing a new opera by Drake Andersen. BA, Political Science and Economics, Phi Betta Kappa, Columbia University.

MACKENZIE JAHNKE (Lily Briscoe, Mrs. McNab), a recent graduate from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA, has appeared in plays around the Seattle and Honolulu areas. Latest roles include Judith at Monoa VAlley Theatre's Boeing, Boeing, Hermia in Ghost Light Theatrical's Red Shrew Diariesand Susan in Sheila Daniel's production of The Waves.
