Poet, novelist and street performer Garrett Buhl Robinson has been the subject of numerous articles and an indie video-documentary. Now he will make his Off-Broadway debut performing his solo play with music - Letters to Zoey.

In the play, a young man jumps on a coal train and plunges through his rite of passage. While traveling through the country, he desperately reaches out to Zoey through lyrical letters and velvety songs. Struggling to come to terms with himself and his relationship with her, he slowly discards all he feels is superfluous in an attempt to find what he truly values in life. Each passage takes him further along a harrowing journey of self-discovery as he abandons everything in search for love.

After moving to New York City from San Francisco in 2011, Garrett Robinson has been marketing his poetry and novels in the streets of Manhattan. Practically every day, in all types of weather, he can be found behind his modest display table "singing in the streets."
