LEND ME A TENOR's Tony Shalhoub and Brooke Adams will be featured on WNBC TV's "Talk Stoop" this Thursday May 20 at 6:15 AM on Ch. 4/WNBC TV.

Tony and Brooke are not only co-stars in Broadway's hit comedy, they are married - and met on Broadway 20 years ago in The Heidi Chronicles, which played across the street from TENOR's home at the Music Box. "Talk Stoop" is the channel's popular segment in which reporter Cat Greenleaf talks to actors, musicians, politicians and other movers and shakers on the steps of her Brooklyn brownstone.

LEND ME A TENOR opened on April 4 to rave reviews including:

Hollywood Reporter: "The actors seem to be having an absolute ball. Shalhoub and LaPaglia deliver full-throttle comic performances. Shalhoub is endlessly uproarious."

Associated Press: "The show is directed at a jet-propelled pace by Stanley Tucci...What gives this production an unexpected boost is something not usually found in a farce - heart."

New York Post: "The show is exactly what it needs to be: hilarious."

LEND ME A TENOR has received three Tony Award nominations (Best Revival of a Play, Best Costume Design (Martin Pakledinaz) and Best Featured Actress (Jan Maxwell), four Outer Critics Circle Award nominations (Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Director of a Play (Stanley Tucci), Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play (which Jan Maxwell just won), and Outstanding Costume Design (Martin Pakledinaz). It received three Drama League Award nominations as well: Distinguished Revival of a Play and two Distinguished Performance Awards (Jan Maxwell and Tony Shalhoub).

Set in the 1930s, LEND ME A TENOR is a screwball comedy that takes place when Tito Merelli, the fiery-tempered and world famous Italian superstar, arrives in Cleveland, Ohio to make his debut with the local opera and promptly goes missing. As Saunders, the show's presenter, conspires to cover for Tito's absence, placate his hot-blooded wife, and distract his most passionate fans, chaos on a truly operatic level ensues.

Ken Ludwig's comedy LEND ME A TENOR stars Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Shalhoub, Justin Bartha, Brooke Adams, Mary Catherine Garrison, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Jay Klaitz, and Jan Maxwell, and is directed by Stanley Tucci. LEND ME A TENOR is currently playing on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).
