Despite previous reports that Emmy and Tony Award-winning star Kristin Chenoweth would not return to The Good Wife after suffering a head injury due to an accident on the set, the actress revealed on Twitter yesterday, August 31st, that she recently went back to the show to film a scene.

Chenoweth Tweeted, "I was able to go back and shoot a short scene with Alan Cumming on The Good Wife. #blessing!" followed by a photo of herself with actor Josh Charles, saying "My director today! the real deal."

It's up in the air whether Chenoweth's return to the show is temporary or if the actress will continue shooting for her originally planned arc as a "top-of-her-game political reporter."

Chenoweth will be featured in the season premiere of the series. In addition to the Broadway vet, the upcoming season of The Good Wife will feature guest appearances by Emmy Award and Tony Award-winning actor Nathan Lane as a bottom line-obsessed manager imposed on Lockhart & Gardner by the bank to cut costs and get the firm back to fiscal health. Rita Wilson will also reprise her role on the series as slick Los Angeles lawyer and frequent Lockhart & Gardner nemesis, Viola Walsh.

On Broadway, Chenoweth has appeared in Steel Pier, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Epic Proportions, Funny Girl, Wicked, The Apple Tree, Promises, Promises, and On the Twentieth Century. Her Off-Broadway credits include The Fantasticks, Box Office of the Damned, Scapin, Strike Up the Band, A New Brain, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, Candide, The Apple Tree, Stairway to Paradise, Love, Loss and What I Wore.

The actress received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in the series "Pushing Daisies," and has appeared in the comedy "Glee" for which she received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. Recently, she starred in the series "GCB."

The fourth season of THE GOOD WIFE premieres Sunday, Sept. 30 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
