Kristin Chenoweth Joins Broderick for CBS Comedy Pilot

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kristin Chenoweth will be returning to the small screen in a comedy pilot for CBS. The actress will join fellow Broadway vet Matthew Broderick on the currently untitled multicamera project to be directed by James Burrows.

The pilot will tell the story of Broderick's character Jack, described as a "recently widowed father raising his 12-year-old son while jumping back into the dating pool." Chenoweth will take on the role of Marnie, described as "Jack's "cute" and "judgmental" sister who works as a waitress."

Chenoweth, most recently appeared on Broadway in Promises, Promises. Her other theater credits include Wicked and her Tony-winning turn in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Her TV credits include her Emmy-winning work on "Pushing Daisies", ABC's GCB and guest starring roles on CBS's 'The Good Wife and Fox's Glee.
