KimMel Center for the Performing Arts continues the FREE AT THE KIMMEL offerings this October and November in the KimMel Center's campus with live monthly FREE Sittin' In Jam Sessions on Wednesdays and FREE PNC Grow Up Great interactive performances for children. The Business of Making Music, a new three-part FREE seminar provides expert guidance to young musicians seeking a foray into networking and understanding management in the music industry. Free at the Kimmel offerings continue to highlight Philly's hottest up-and-coming talents with musical offerings for all ages and invite the community to engage in the arts on multiple levels.

LIVE monthly Sittin' In Jam Sessions continue on Wednesday evenings and begin with resident DJ Phsh to warm up the crowd. Then, the house band, chosen by the host of the night takes the stage to start the dance party followed by a final set showcasing the selected talent of the night. The sessions are curated by acclaimed jazz bassist and Director of the KimMel Center's Creative Music Program Anthony Tidd. Specialty cocktails provided by Iron Chef Jose Garces.

PNC Grow Up Great series offer family-friendly, hands-on FREE entertainment each month where children get to interact with new instruments in this program made possible thanks to partnership funding through the nationally recognized PNC Grow Up Great initiative, a ten-year, $100 million investment in preparing children for success in school and life.

The Business of Making Music is a three-part seminar focusing on engaging professionally-oriented students and graduates who are pursuing a career in the music business. Each exclusive engagement features a unique artist and professional expert -- covering topics ranging from the industry basics to contracts, intellectual property, economics, and more! Presented in partnership with The Recording Academy, Philadelphia Chapter. This program has been generously supported by J.P. Morgan.Special thanks to our lead marketing partner, Wharton SBDC.

This FREE children's concert is part of our monthly Grow Up Great series generously sponsored by PNC. Kids can get hands-on in this interactive concert as Tony and Joanna invite them to try the instruments, participate in songs, and dance along to the smooth sounds. Parents will also enjoy the high-caliber of music performed by these renowned musicians.
