Award-winning playwright Phil Paradis, of Fort Thomas, KY, has scored in the Big Apple yet again. Paradis has two more new plays going up on the boards in July in Manhattan.
His monodrama mystery "Can We See Iowa From Here?" goes up July 8-9 near Times Square at Manhattan Repertory Theatre 303 W. 42nd St. 6th Floor, New York, NY and then just a few blocks away in the Theater district July 16-17 his futuristic satire "Natural Rarities Up For Bid" is onstage at the Midtown International Theatre Festival, at the Workshop Theatre's Main Stage Theater on 312 West 36th Street.
Can We See Iowa From Here? will have two performances in Manhattan Rep's 10 Minute Play Contest Series #3 on Friday, July 8 at 6:30 pm and Saturday, July 9 at 4 p.m.. Tickets are $20 at the door.

"Can We See Iowa From Here?" is a mystery about a man whose work transfers him to New York, so he shows his wife and son and daughter the sites and discovers while at the Empire State Building that his wife has gone missing. Directed by
Flori Doyle, stars Devin Burnam as the father who moves his family to the Big Apple.
"Natural Rarities Up For Bid" is a futuristic satire set in 2184 AD. The ice caps have melted along with the Himalayan glaciers. Florida and New York are underwater. And to feed the millions of starving displaced persons, a benefit auction in Europe is underway to raise funds to develop food from petroleum. This is Paradis' thirteen play to be staged in New York in twelve months, and his fourth play dealing with human-caused environmental degradation. Natural Rarities Up For Bid is directed by Al

Phil Paradis is best known for FOOTPRINTS OF THE POLAR BEAR, SOLDIER'S CHRISTMAS, his play about the World War I Christmas Truce of 1914 and his one-man show AN EVENING WITH
Stephen Crane. His plays have been produced in New York and Los Angeles and points in between.
