Kentucky Center Hosts Thunder Over Louisville Celebration Today

This year enjoy the excitement and spectacle of Thunder Over Louisville from the comfort of The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. Take in the air show, fireworks, food and family fun from the convenience of the Center, where the main facility will be open with access to the North Terrace on the Belvedere. The Center will open its doors for Thunder Over Louisville today, April 12, at 2 p.m. The air show begins at 3 p.m. with the fireworks kicking off at 9:30 p.m.

Make the Kentucky Center your home base for the day while you stroll around and take in all the action. All guests will be able to take advantage of the Center's restrooms, have a drink at the bar and enjoy an a la carte picnic menu. Alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the building. Draft beer, wine and mixed drinks will be available for purchase. There will be storytelling, art activities, face painting, dancing and a drumming circle.

Chairs will be allowed this year, though only for set-up outside. For safety, there will be no coolers, outside food or drink allowed anywhere on the Kentucky Center premises. Pets (with the exception of service animals), weapons and alcohol are prohibited as well.

Tickets are only $40 for adults, and $20 for children 12 and under. Tickets are currently on sale and are limited. Derby Pins sold separately which will allow access to the Meijer Family Fun Zone, also located on the Belvedere. This year's media partner is Clear Channel.
