In a change of pace from her normal gig, Kelen Coleman is going back to her theatre roots. The Los Angeles based actress who recently booked a starring role in the brand new CBS sitcom pilot 'The McCarthys' will play a suburban mother in Cameron Fife's witty yet morose tale.

An official selection of the Midtown International Theatre Festival's Midwinter Madness Short Play Festival, 'Sea Cloud Park' opens at the Roy Arias Theatre on Monday, Feb. 10th at 6:00 p.m. There will be two more performances to follow, one on Thursday, Feb. 13th at 8:00 p.m., the other Saturday, Feb. 15th at 5:00 p.m. "I love doing TV and film but there?s nothing like sharing an experience with a live audience..." says Coleman, who last appeared on stage in 2012 in Los Angeles in Michael Arden's LaRonde.

'Sea Cloud Park' tells the story of two fathers who meet in a park while watching their sons play on a nearby jungle gym. As they chat and become fast friends, one of the fathers takes his eye off his son for a moment and the unthinkable happens. The play explores how one man deals with the tragedy, and though at times very dark, the play actually leaves a glimmer of hope for the audience.

Marty Papazian and Jason E. Kelley round out the cast, with Coleman playing the latter?s sweet but over protective wife. Writer Fife is also directing.

Fife has written three other plays, an adaptation of the Trey Parker cult movie "Cannibal! The Musical", the original dark comedy "Killing Diaz" and "A True Story. Based on Things That Never Actually Happened. ...and some that did.", which he co-wrote with Tyler McGee and is now a feature film available on demand.

The Roy Arias Stage II is located at At the Times Square Arts Center 300 West 43rd St. (Corner of 8th avenue) New York, NY 10036.
