CROTON FALLS, NY -- Following two sold-out performances in its series of stand-up, The Schoolhouse Theater has scheduled three new comics for Comedy Night, Saturday, September 6, at 8 pm. The Schoolhouse Theater is located at 3 Owens Road, just off Route 22 in Croton Falls.

"The success of our first two comedy nights has shown us how excited the community is to be able to see professional comedians without having to venture into New York City," said Schoolhouse General Manager Quinn Cassavale.

Organized in conjunction with Shaun Eli of Liberty Comedy, the September 6 comedy night will feature professional comics Karen Bergreen, J-L Cauvin, and Mr. Eli. Collectively, they have honed their craft on Comedy Central, "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson," and "The View."

A mother of two small boys, Karen Bergreen does stand-up in order to get out of the house. She has appeared on Comedy Central, The Oxygen Network, Nick Mom, "The View" and "The Joy Behar Show." While the kids aren't looking, Karen is a novelist. Her 2010 comic novel Following Polly earned praise from The New York Times, Oprah Magazine, and her mother-in-law. Her second novel Perfect is Overrated was released last summer.

Comedian Shaun Eli, a Scarsdale native, has rightfully been called one of America's smartest comics. Whether it's a story about dining with a vegetarian or successfully fighting a parking ticket, master storyteller Shaun Eli proves that there's hilarity in the ordinary if you approach life with a comedic warp. Job interviews? Serving on a NYC criminal jury? How about the Ten Commandments? For just about anything he's experienced Shaun has a hilarious story at the ready.

After graduating from Williams College, J-L Cauvin began his stand-up career in Washington, DC, when he was a law student at Georgetown. While an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx, he impressed fellow comedians in NYC with his powerful suits and health insurance. Having appeared on "The Adam Carolla Show" and "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson," he has also made a name for himself with sketch videos, notably "Louis CK Tells The Classics."

Tickets for Comedy Night at the Schoolhouse are $20 and may be purchased online at www.schoolhousetheater.org or by phone to (914) 277-8477. The last two stand-up comedy nights have sold out. Early ticket purchase is recommended.
