Fresh off a run of his hit play, Gobstopper, at The Tank this spring, downtown theatre staple Jordan J. Baum heads to Dixon Place with his latest, July, set to premiere as part of their HOT! Festival - the longest running annual LGBTQ festival in the world.

Jordan returns to Dixon Place after last summer's Mom in the Car on the Way to the Airport and a presentation of an excerpt from July at Little Theatre in November. HOT! Fest marks the first full-length presentation of July, slated for performance on the Mainstage at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie St.) on Friday, July 21st at 10pm. Tickets ($15) are currently available for purchase at dixonplace.org/performances/july.

July finds five boys and five girls in the back of a moving U-Haul as they do basically nothing to investigate the recent murder of their friend, July. July wasn't really their friend, but he may have given some of them hand jobs. And someone has his jeans. Who's driving? Armed with a microwave oven etc., July recounts the summer they all forget.

July features the talents of Queen-tiye Akamefula, Antonio Barrera, Amanda Centeno, Becca Co, nicHi Douglas, Jared Free, Andrew Hardigg, Sierra Leverett, Dennis Mashevsky, Ry Szelong, and Peter Mills Weiss, with stage management by Alex Bush, and produced by Zach Donovan.

Jordan J. Baum is a writer, performer & T.A. Recent writing credits include Gobstopper (The Tank), Indirect Object (The Tank), and July, an excerpt of which debuted at Little Theatre in November. Recent performance credits include Permanent Caterpillar (The Brick) and The World My Mama Raised (Clubbed Thumb). Jordan is a T.A. for three playwriting classes at NYU Tisch.
