Model Jourdan Dunn took to Twitter yesterday to tell the world why she was suddenly cut from walking in the Christian Dior Couture show in Paris. She tweeted she was cut from the runway because of her curves:

Dunn seemed too laugh it off. The 22-year-old is one of the most in demand models of the business right now and seems to understand that her chest is only "too big" according to often unrealistic industry standars.

Plus, she immediately followed up her tweet with another one exclaiming that its really a "minor" thing:

In an interview with The Edit in March, Dunn spoke of being turned away from model castings because the client "didn't want any more black girls" and also revealed an experience when a white makeup artist wouldn't work on her face because she was black. Getting told your boobs are too big is much better than full on racism, but yes, it still isn't fair.

Other similar instances involve Filippa Hamilton, who was allegedly fired from Ralph Lauren for gaining weight. ("They said I was overweight and I couldn't fit in their clothes anymore," she told the press in 2010.) And Ananda Marchildon, a "Holland's Next Top Model" winner who was dropped from her agency when her hips got too big.

I guess the the fashion industry isn't evolving as quickly as we all thought.
