Join the Fun When the 2009 Tony Award Noms Are Broadcast Live in Times Square 5/5

The nominations announcement will be hosted by Tony Award winning actress Cynthia Nixon and Tony Award winning actor Lin-Manuel Miranda on May 5th at the New York Public Library for Performing Arts, Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center, Bruno Walter Auditorium, 111 Amsterdam Avenue (betw 64th & 65th Street).

The Times Square Alliance and Spectacolor have partnered with the Tony Awards, the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League to broadcast the Tony Nominations LIVE in their entirety to the Clear Channel Spectacolor HD video screen in Times Square.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. the nominations will be read, those comfy red steps at the new TKTS booth in Duffy Square are a great location to see the announcements, so gather up your Broadway loving friends some coffee and join all the Tony fun!

The Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 7, 2009. 

The 2009 Tonys are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. At The Broadway League, Nina Lannan is Chairman and Charlotte St. Martin is Executive Director. At the American Theatre Wing, Theodore S. Chapin is Chairman and Howard Sherman is Executive Director. For Tony Award Productions, Alan Wasser and Allan Williams of Alan Wasser Associates are the General Managers.

Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss/White Cherry Entertainment are Executive Producers of the 2009 Tony Awards. Mr. Weiss will also serve as Director of the 2009 Tony Awards.
