Education Management Corporation (EDMC) today announced that John Mazzoni, President of The Art Institutes, is leaving the Company on July 14, 2013. Charles Restivo, Group Vice President, will become the Interim President of The Art Institutes as of June 24, 2013 and will report to Danny Finuf, Executive Vice President, Education System Operations.

"I want to thank John for his 27 years of service at Education Management. He has been an important member of the executive leadership team, working tirelessly to deliver on the Company's commitment to assist our institutions in providing students with beneficial and affordable educational experiences, and we wish him luck in his future endeavors," said Edward H. West, President and Chief Executive Officer. "I am certain that Danny and Charles, working closely with the executive committee and group vice presidents, to assist the campus presidents and faculty of The Art Institutes, will work passionately to help students achieve their career goals."

Mr. Mazzoni has been President of The Art Institutes since 2005. Since joining the Company in 1987, he has held numerous senior management positions with increasing responsibility, including Group Vice President for The Art Institutes, Group Vice President for Education Management, Senior Vice President of Group Operations, and various other positions in the areas of Operations, Finance and Information Systems.

Mr. Finuf, Mr. Restivo and the management team of The Art Institutes represent decades of experience at Education Management and its education systems. Together they will help to build on the work of the Art Institute's dedicated faculty and staff, leadership and the executive team to ensure the value of The Art Institutes, past, present and future as the largest education system within Education Management.
