Tony Award® winner John Lithgow ("Dirty Rotten Scoundrels") celebrates the launch of Kids' Night on Broadway: 10th Birthday Edition with young cast members from Broadway's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and representatives from The League of American Theatres and Producers Inc.

Kids' Night provides the unique opportunity for young people, age 6-18, to attend a Broadway show for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. Tickets are on sale from October 28th – November 13th.

The 2006 edition of Kids' Night on Broadway in New York will take place on January 31 and February 1, 2006.

Most shows have kid-friendly 7:00 p.m. curtain times on January 31.

Tickets will be available beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2005.

On Kids' Night on Broadway, kids also get to dine for free at many fabulous Times Square restaurants, and parents get discounted parking rates.

And don't miss the pre-theatre party at Madame Tussauds on January 31 that features cool interactive activities, live performances, Broadway stars and more. On February 1, kids attending Kids Night on Broadway that evening will be admitted to Madam Tussauds for free.

Kids' Night is presented with the New York Times. Additional support is provided by NBC4 and Theatre Development Fund. KNOB is an audience development program of the League of American Theatres and Producers.

Touring Broadway shows will also participate in Kids' Night on Broadway events in cities throughout North America during the 2005-2006 season.

Kids' Night on Broadway is a program of the League of American Theatres and Producers, the national trade association for the Broadway industry, which created this audience-building program (with TDF) in 1997. Kids' Night on Broadway is a national program that takes place throughout the winter and spring months when touring Broadway shows come to town. Adults purchasing a full-priced ticket for a child 6-18 will receive one free ticket with a purchase of each full-priced ticket. Complimentary tickets MUST be used by children 6-18 for the same show. Tickets must be purchased in multiples of two; each ticket prints at half-price. Theatre personnel may ask to see identification of child at the door.

All shows have early 7:00 p.m. curtains except as noted. Some shows contain mature themes and may not be appropriate for younger audiences. Parents should use their discretion based on the maturity levels of their children.
