According to The Hollywood Reporter, John Cho will join DOCTOR WHO's Karen Gillan in ABC's modern spin on MY FAIR LADY, SELFIE, directed by Julie Anne Robinson from a script by Emily Kapnek (Suburgatory). The cast also includes Allyn Rachel, Tim Peper, Da'Vine Joy Randolph and David Harewood.

SELFIE "centers on a self-obsessed 20-something woman named Eliza Dooley (Gillan) who is more concerned with "likes" than being liked. After suffering a public and humiliating breakup, she becomes the subject of a viral video and suddenly has more social media "followers" than she ever imagined -- but for all the wrong reasons. She then enlists the help of a marketing expert at her company to help repair her tarnished image."

Cho will take on the role of a "self-assured, successful marketing expert Henry, who is a different breed from today's social media-addicted society. As a challenge, he decides to "remarket" his coworker Eliza."

Cho is best known for his starring role in the film Harold & Kumar. He has also appeared in the Star Trek and American Pie franchises. He was most recently seen in Star Trek sequel and the feature comedy Identity Thief opposite Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy. He also starred in the remake of Total Recall with Colin Farrell. Cho's TV credits include a voiceover role in the animated version of Harold & Kumar for Adult Swim and Lionsgate TV, and most recently, NBC's short-lived comedy Go On.
