UPDATE, 3/17: Joel McHale's performance scheduled for Saturday, April 15 at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall has been cancelled.

Patrons who have purchased tickets are asked to contact the Box Office by calling 941-953-3368 for a refund, or for online credit.

One of the most sought after comedians and actors in the industry, Joel McHale was set to make his Sarasota debut.

McHale is a man of many talents but is perhaps best known for his starring role on the hit comedy series Community. He recently wrapped his twelfth and final season of E!'s The Soup in which he satirized pop culture and current events. McHale's new show, The Great Indoors, recently debuted on CBS he also released his new book, Thanks for the Money, last fall.

McHale starred alongside Robin Williams in A Merry Friggin' Christmas and appeared in the romantic comedy Blended with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. His additional film credits include Seth MacFarlane's comedy smash TED, What's Your Number?, The Big Year, Spy Kids: All The Time in The World, Deliver Us From Evil and The Informant.
