What would you do when your life is bombarded with a series of bad decisions and bad luck? That is what author Jim Walters went through. His life is full of confusion, and sometimes, situations are simply out of his control. In "There Is No "I" in Lucky," he shares his story with a rich amount of humor and honesty.

Early on, his life seems full of promise. However, any successes are always cancelled out by bad decisions on his part or just plain bad luck. While others believe that hard work and intelligence are career assets, his experiences have been torpedoed by bad luck and incompetent people. These unfortunate circumstances produced a lifetime that appears to have no direction at all. In his midlife, an obsessive-compulsive personality disorder and subsequent depression adds some possible understanding as to just what went on.

His vast experiences are told in a straightforward and no-nonsense tone but with a great deal of humor that every riveting page will coax a laugh or two out of every reader. The way he tells his story is just so refreshing that every event flows smoothly from one twist to another, taking the readers with him into one entertaining and lesson-filled trip down memory lane. Through his story, readers will realize that they are not alone in their burdens and trepidations. Some people have gone through worse. The important thing is that they learn from those ill-fated experiences.

Appealing to those interested in discovering more about human nature, "There Is No "I" in Lucky" is a compelling read that will impart to readers an essential lesson they can use dealing with the difficulties of life.

About the Author
Jim Walters, a.k.a. Joseph James Walters, felt the need to explain a life that never seemed to go anywhere. After a snakebitten high school life, he raced through Notre Dame in only nine years to obtain a degree in industrial management that he never used. He then picked up a master's degree at Indiana University to keep up with those staying in school to avoid Vietnam. Of course, that second degree was also worth little. He did, however, find his lifetime employment niche while in the army as a keypuncher.
