Solo performer Jim Loucks brings his Southern storytelling style to the United Solo Theatre Festival with his new show THE BISCUITEATER on September 21st @ 7:30pm (Theatre Row 410 West 42nd St, NY NY 10036). THE BISCUITEATER is directed by Lisa Chess.

Based loosely on his childhood, THE BISCUITEATER is told in Loucks' distinctive Southern storytelling style with songs and humor. Granddaddy was his hero, a big man with a bigger personality, haunted by demons from his days as Chief of Police in small-town Georgia. It is a moving tribute to an imperfect hero.

THE BISCUITEATER premiered at the FronteraFest in Austin, TX in Jan. and then traveled to the Oahu Fringe and the Solo Performance Festival at Theatre off Jackson in Seattle, as well as a three-week run in Venice, CA at the Electric Lodge.

Loucks has spent the last few years traveling the country with his first show Cemetery Golf, which had successful runs at the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York, SoloFest in Albuquerque, the Fringes in Orlando, San Diego, Hollywood, San Francisco and Boulder and the Cincy Fringe, where he received a CityBeat critic's pick.
