According to the Hollywood Reporter, stage and screen star Jesse Eisenberg will adapt his short stories, Bream Gives Me the Hiccups, into an Amazon comedy. Eisenberg will also executive produce the project, alongside Ravi Nandan and John Hodges.

The twelve-part series was featured by McSweeney's in 2012-13, and focuses on "a privileged and precocious 9-year-old restaurant critic who visits different eateries with his alcoholic mother, reviewing everything, often with his friend Matthew."
