Fueled by Life Media Group, LLC announces the return of Jerry Ford's coming of age drama, "Hope" One Man, One Show. Ford is bringing his successful one-man show back to the stage in New York City for one day, 2 performances at Access Theater (380 Broadway, 4th Floor; New York, NY 10013). Saturday, May 17, 2014 with matinee and evening performances, starting at 2:00pm and 8:00pm respectively. Accomplished actor, Turron Kofi Alleyne, directs Ford's show.

In little more than an hour, Ford captures your attention and mind, morphing into a variety of characters to tell the riveting story of his battle for success, on and off the streets. As a young adult, growing up in the cold streets of Detroit, MI, he witnessed the deaths of his brother and best friend, sending him to perilous lows as he finds himself in jail. Ford finds a way to push through the darkness and find an internal fire and will to succeed against all odds, with the discipline gained from a world-class martial arts education. It's a magnificent story told with humor and perseverance, about finding yourself and your will to succeed. The story has something for everyone.

Jerry Ford, the writer, performer and producer of "Hope" is a Detroit, MI native residing in New York as a working actor, writer and martial artist. He graduated from Rutgers University with a BFA in Theater/TV. He has performed his one-man show "Hope" for a variety of audiences over the last two years, from colleges and universities to local theaters in Detroit, motivational retreats and high schools. The show has been met with great success from two runs in 2013 at the Off-Broadway Theater, the Producers Club, as well as a special performance at the Clark Studio Theater at Lincoln Center.

Ford's talents extend beyond the stage to martial arts, as he has won multiple gold medals in the Junior Olympics, U.S. Open and other national tournaments. Jerry is currently working on publishing his autobiography, "From One Road to the Next," while developing the script for a feature film. As an actor, Ford is quite accomplished a series regular on Persons of Interest, All my Children, and has a co-starring role in Season 2 of Netflix's hit series, Orange is the New Black.
