Jennifer Fouche, Alex Wyse and More Set for NIGHTTIME TRAFFIC Industry Reading, 4/23

Nighttime Traffic, a musical with music and lyrics by Alex Wyse and book by Alex Wyse and Steve Wargo, will have an industry reading April 23 in midtown Manhattan.

Marshall Pailet, who helmed last summer's Triassic Parq, directs the reading, which features Alex Wyse (Lysistrata Jones, Triassic Parq, Bare), Preston Sadleir (Next to Normal, Me Myself & I, The Imaginary Invalid), and Jennifer Fouché (SISTAS, SMASH). Co-Book Writer Steve Wargo co-authored Triassic Parq. Music Direction is by Karl Michael Johnson, Stage Manager is E. Sara Barnes (Bloodsong of Love), and General Management is by Eve Rybnick.

Nighttime Traffic tells the story of a pair of guys who are supplied by a brazen Nursewith a mind-altering pill that slows time, turning one minute into one hour. Fueled by a sweeping contemporary score, Nighttime Traffic follows three characters through a world of thumping music, altered perceptions, and unanticipated inspiration as they spin minutes into moments and search for solace in unsettling times.

The musical was originally presented as a workshop production at Boston University in 2009, then as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2010.

Attendance to the 4 PM and 7 PM presentations is by invite only, but industry members interested in attending should email NighttimeTraffic@gmail.com.
