On Tuesday, March 20, Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club, a premier golf club in Boca Raton, Florida, welcomed back recent recipient of the Fred Ebb Award and Tony Award Nominee, Jeff Blumenkrantz and his fellow Broadway actor, Laura Patinkin. The two performers showcased their talents for a crowd of more than 200 Boca Grove members and guests. The intimate, two person show featured a number of beloved Broadway standards from shows such as "Sound of Music," "West Side Story," "Gypsy," "Cabaret" and more.  They also performed a handful of Blumenkrantz's original songs.

Blumenkrantz and Patinkin first performed at Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club in 2009. "What a treat it was for Laura and me to return to Boca Grove. It's always a pleasure to perform the great songs of the musical theatre canon, especially for such an appreciative audience. And where else can I tell stories and sing songs about my parents that an entire audience will understand?" said Blumenkrantz of his return to Boca Grove.

Jeff Blumenkrantz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Blumenkrantz, residents of Boca Grove Golf & Tennis Club, began his career as an actor on Broadway performing in "Into the Woods" (1987), "Threepenny Opera" (1989), "Damn Yankees" (1994), "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" (1995), and "A Class Act" (2001). He's performed on TV and film in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "Will and Grace," all three "Law and Order" series, and the Great Performances (PBS) telecast of "Candide in Concert." He is an accomplished songwriter, receiving a Best Original Score Tony Award nomination for his songs in "Urban Cowboy," and has received song commissions from both Carnegie Hall and the Guggenheim's Works and Process program.

Laura Patinkin's parents also reside in Boca Raton, Florida. She has been living in New York for the past 27 years.  Before moving to the suburbs, Patinkin lived in New York City for 12 years, appearing on Broadway in "Fiddler on the Roof," Off Broadway in "The Education of Hyman Kaplan," "Godspell," "Esther by Liz Swados," and "The Pajama Game," on National Tour in "South Pacific," and in regional theatres around the country.  She has also worked with the Department of Defense/U.S.O., performing for U.S. troops all over the world.

"We at Boca Grove were excited to have both Jeff and Laura back for another great performance," said Emerson "Chuck" Lehner, COO/General Manager of Boca Grove Golf & Tennis Club. "Our members really enjoy this type of entertainment, and we are so grateful they came back to wow us yet again."

Quality entertainment and cultural events such as this is what keeps Boca Grove's gorgeous Clubhouse bustling all season long.  Through the wide array of social events and activities offered at Boca Grove, members are given endless opportunities for fun and camaraderie.
