Emmy Award-winning actress, comedian and singer Jane Lynch unleashes an unconventional, uproarious, music-filled cabaret show -- or what The New York Times dubbed "the anti-cabaret" -- on Wednesday, December 31. The side-splitting musical journey into the New Year begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 435-655-3114 or online at EcclesCenter.org.

"Laughter and song wrapped in a brilliant package... We simply can't think of a better way to enter a New Year," says PCI executive director Teri Orr.

Perhaps best known for her iconic portrayal of Sue Sylvester on Glee or her Broadway debut as Miss Hannigan in Annie or her roles in such films as 40 Year-Old Virgin, Best in Show and Role Models..., Lynch has mastered the art of comedic timing and, oh boy, can she sing. Celebrating her love of the beauty -- and absurdity -- of American standards and show tunes, Lynch puts on a memorable and downright hilarious performance. Though her cabaret show is relatively new, the vast array of tunes she summons are not necessarily so -- Sinatra as well as songs from Christopher Guest's mockumentary, "A Mighty Wind."

Lynch's extraordinary accomplishments range from her early days at The Second City, Steppenwolf Theatre to Golden Globe- and Emmy-winning performances on primetime television and film. She's hosted the 63rd Emmy Awards, written a memoir ("Happy Accidents") and taken Broadway by storm. Jane Lynch's New Year's Eve performance promises to put the "Happy" in Happy New Year. Cheers!
