For four magical nights in October, the Mabel Mercer Foundation will present a sparkling array of America's leading cabaret stars. Among the 60 outstanding artists who will take the stage at the Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center from October 7th through 10th are multiple Grammy Award winner Jack Jones, Marilyn Maye, Steve Ross, Karen Akers, Nellie McKay, and Barbara Carroll.

KT Sullivan, leading cabaret singer-actress who is also Artistic Director of the Mabel Mercer Foundation, will host the Gala Opening Night October 7th, the birthday of the late founder of the Foundation, Donald Smith. This year's Donald Smith Award will be presented to Karen Oberlin. Other stellar guests include Emily Bergl, Charles Busch, Aaron Weinstein, and T. Oliver Reid.

"Come Fly with Me": The Songs of Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen, is the theme of the October 8th performance, hosted by popular TV personality Bill Boggs and curated by prodigious jazz writer Will Friedwald. Among the evening's artists will be Jack Jones, a great Cahn-Van Heusen interpreter, who will receive this year's Mabel Mercer Award. Also celebrating this legendary songwriting team's centennial will be Billy Stritch, Allan Harris, Jennifer Sheehan and Sammy & The Congregation, the house band for the evening.

October 9th will spotlight "Falling in Love with Love," The Songs of Rodgers & Hart, hosted by Andrea Marcovicci, Queen of Cabaret, and romantic balladeer Jeff Harnar. The great songbook will also be represented by Joyce Breach, Christine Andreas, Clint Holmes, and Liz Callaway.

The evenings at Rose Hall conclude on October 10th with some of cabaret's favorites including Mark Nadler, Colleen McHugh, Sidney Myer, and jazz world's Gregory Generet. Marissa Mulder will receive the Noël Coward Foundation's Award and the Julie Wilson Award from the great lady herself. The second act will feature emerging talent in a parade of cabaret brought to a close by our super host KLea Blackhurst singing "Before The Parade Passes By", the evening's apt title.

Events related to the convention at other venues include Friday night's 8:30 p.m. "Cutting Edge" at the Cutting Room showcasing daring artists such as Baby Jane Dexter, Ray Jessel, Phoebe Legere, and Hedda Lettuce. Reservations (not for the faint-hearted) can be made at cuttingroomnyc.com. Saturday's 1 p.m. panel at 54 Below "Cabaret: Past, Present and Future," features Mr. Friedwald of the Wall Street Journal, David Hadju of The New Republic, Adam Feldman of Time Out New York, David Finkle of The Village Voice, and an interview with Barbara Carroll by Stephen Holden of The New York Times. Entertainment will be provided by Marissa Mulder, Liam Forde, Nick Ziobro and Alex Leonard. Reservations can be made at (646) 476-3551 and 54below.com.

All performances begin at 6 p.m. at Jazz At Lincoln Center's Rose Theatre, Broadway at 60th Street. Advance tickets priced at $100, $50, and $25 are now available through the Mabel Mercer Foundation. $500 premium patron tickets (limited to 50 seats per concert) are also on sale and include an invitation to a post-performance cocktail reception with that evening's artists; a portion of the premium patron ticket price is tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
