J.K. Rowling, one of the world's most successful authors, embarks on a new adventure in her first novel in seven years. She invites "Nightline" co-anchor Cynthia McFadden to Scotland for a rare interview and exclusive preview of The Casual Vacancy. This is Rowling's first U.S. network television interview to discuss one of fall's most anticipated novels. Her bestselling Harry Potter series of seven books has sold over 450 million copies worldwide.

The interview will air on "Good Morning America," "World News with Diane Sawyer" and "Nightline" on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26. More of the interview airs on "Good Morning America" on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27.

"Good Morning America" is a two-hour, live program anchored by Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Josh Elliott, Lara Spencer and Sam Champion. The morning news program airs MONDAY-FRIDAY (7:00-9:00 a.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"ABC World News with Diane Sawyer" airs at 6:30 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.

"Nightline" is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Bill Weir. Juju Chang is a correspondent. Jeanmarie Condon is the executive producer. The program airs weeknights from 11:35 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.
