The Australian leg of the 2012-2013 JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR international tour kicks off next week, featuring the same leading players as the super-successful UK tour and recent DVD/Blu-ray.

Headlined by SUPERSTAR reality show winner Ben Forster as Jesus Christ alongside Spice Girl Melanie C as Mary Magdalene and superstar comedian and MATILDA songwriter Tim Minchin as Judas Iscariot, the new arena tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is a truly 21st century take on the classic story of the last seven days in the lige of Jesus Christ.

For the Australian dates, Aussie DEAL OR NO DEAL host Andrew O'Keefe will essay the role of King Herod, while Jon Stevens will portray Pontius Pilate. Incidentally, Stevens previously performed the role of Judas in the 1982 Australian production.

Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice's rock score is given a modern twist and hi-tech wizardry fuels the action in this compelling and refreshingly contemporary production, directed by PHANTOM 25's Lawrence Conner.

The Australian dates (many already sold out) are as follows: Perth - May 31, June 1-2; Adelaide - June 4-5; Sydney - 7-9; Brisbane - June 11-12, 18; Melbourne - June 14-16.
