Jest End, a musical comedy insight into the weird and wonderful world of the West End, returns home to Jermyn Street Theatre, the central London venue where it was born, bringing audiences a brand new and up to date dose of musical theatre parody for a limited five-week engagement from Tuesday 17 November to Sunday 20 December 2009.

Following previous sell-out dates at Jermyn Street Theatre, Leicester Square Theatre and the New Players Theatre, Jest End returns in the run up to the festive season, offering theatregoers and tourists alike the perfect excuse to party and enjoy a whirlwind journey through the West End's current and best-loved shows in a fast and fun-packed ninety minutes.

Jest End is a tongue-in-cheek, tuneful celebration of some of the West End's most popular musicals, including The Phantom of the Opera, Sister Act, Jersey Boys, Les Misérables, Wicked, Avenue Q, Oliver!, Hairspray, Priscilla, Billy Elliot, the upcoming Legally Blonde and many more. The Forbidden Broadway style show exudes a contemporary twist, with regularly updated material parodying the shows you love and those you love to hate.

Jest End is devised and directed by Garry Lake, who is currently playing Pop in Queen's We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre. The Jest End cast features four young West End performers: Jodie Jacobs, Yvette Robinson, Stuart Matthew Price and Chris Thatcher.

Jodie Jacobs' credits include the UK tours of Footloose and The Wedding Singer and the West End productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Evita and Fame.

Yvette Robinson's credits include Michael Grandage's revival of Evita, Trevor Nunn's production of The Woman in White and the international tour of smash-hit musical, Mamma Mia!

Stuart Matthew Price recently returned from playing Riff Raff in the European tour of The Rocky Horror Show. His previous credits include Parade at the Donmar Warehouse, Notes in Heels at the Duchess Theatre and Departure Lounge at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Chris Thatcher played the juvenile lead role of Michael in the UK tour of The Witches of Eastwick, having previously featured in the originAl West End cast of Avenue Q, the UK tour of Starlight Express and the West End production of the Madness musical, Our House.

Produced by Garry Lake & Paul Nicholas for Jest End Productions, Jest End is devised and directed by Garry Lake, and designed by Howard Lloyd, with musical supervision by Gareth Ellis, musical direction by Bob Broad, associate musical direction by Mike Steel and choreography by Rebecca Howell.
