Despite the rough clientele, Sarah makes great new friends until one morning her colleague Cheri does not show up for work. Simultaneously, Sarah starts to receive abusive beeper calls from an anonymous tormentor. A few weeks later, Cheri's body is discovered raped and murdered in Hell Hole Canyon. She hires Jociel Bulawin, a man in his early thirties with a gleaming resume.
