Inception to Exhibition (ITE), NYC's only interdisciplinary arts organization fostering artist incubation, announces it's first annual dance festival. Over the five-day festival, March 12-14, 2014, ITE will bring together some of NYC's most talented emerging and established choreographers for an immersive focus on contemporary concert dance. The festival will feature a World Premiere from Gina Graham as well as 3 solos, 7 duets, and 1 trio from Jonathan Campbell, Austin Diaz, Danielle Russo, Loni Landon, Sidra Bell, Joe Celej, Francesca Harper, Loni Landon, David Norsworthy, Nicole Philippidis, Sydney Schiff, Take Ueyama, Nelly Van Bommel, and Andre Zachery.

ITE's 4th annual Gala on Saturday, March 15, will feature an original Shantell Martin projection created for ITE in 2012. A rising artist with work appearing internationally, she uses a language of characters, creatures and messages that invite her viewers to share a role in her creative process. The gala also features work by Brooklyn-based filmmaker Steve Cossman, and a performance by #TweetDance, where dancers transform tweets and prompts into minute-long dances on the spot. All proceeds go toward the ITE Artist Fund.

To close out the week, Nicole Philppidis, ITE's fan choice contest winner, will hold a solo show on March 16. As a part of ITE's commitment to supporting groundbreaking emerging artists and helping them gain traction for their work, the organization kicked off 2014 with their first ever Fan Choice contest. Three artists from the festival lineup were chosen to post videos of their upcoming works for fan votes. The contest drew almost 2000 votes over the 16-day contest, with more than 900 votes going to winner 277 Dance Project, who will receive a solo show on March 16, a stipend from ITE, a photoshoot with Jennifer Klein, and more.

Festival Tickets are $15, Gala Tickets are $50, and will be available as of February 10. Tickets can be purchased online at the ITE homepage. www.iteny.org
