Broadway/Hollywood crossover star and WICKED Tony Award winner Idina Menzel discusses juggling motherhood, marriages and musical theatre in a new interview with People Magazine.

Menzel is currently preparing to make her return to the Great White Way in a new musical penned by NEXT TO NORMAL Pulitzer Prize winners Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, IF/THEN, and the normally L.A.-based mother of one son, Walker - she is married to fellow screen and stage star Taye Diggs - is finding herself on the East Coast much more than before.

Menzel remarks, "It's hard trying to make the decision to keep him in L.A. so he can go to school with his friends. He would be with a babysitter or have to travel to me to New York where I am rehearsing all day - but at least he's with Mommy," she says.

"It's those kind of decisions that torture me all the time," Menzel concludes.

Additionally, Menzel addressed the recent burglary incident in their L.A. home earlier this year when, post-SAG Awards, the couple arrived home to an in-progress robbery and Diggs took down the intruder himself prior to police arriving on the scene.

"He was quite the macho man there," she says.

Menzel recounts, "I was annoyed with him though because I thought it was stupid. The guy could have been armed and [Taye] could have been hurt."

Menzel sums up her feelings on the situation by saying, "I was frustrated with him for doing it... but his instinct came in - his child and wife were in the house - so afterward it was sexy to me."

Inspiration for Baby #2 perhaps?

Don't miss Idina Menzel in her recurring role of Shelby Corcoran in the final episodes of the fourth season of Glee as well as her upcoming Friday Night Is Music Night IDINA & FRIENDS BBC concert airing on April 26.
