Preparations are well underway for Hyde Park Village's popular springtime art festival. This two-day event showcases the finest work of the country's leading artists including top local talent. Art enthusiasts can expect to see many familiar faces as well as new and emerging artists. The art on display and for sale will represent a wide variety of media and appeal to many tastes and budgets. Admission is free and open to the public.

Festival patrons will have the opportunity to register for the free art giveaway featuring the work of participating artist Mark G. Pericot. This fine art photographer is a world traveler who is inspired by the beauty of the colonial and medieval doors he encounters. His intention is to capture and share a small part of the culture, beauty and history of each image, Pericot hopes others will discover the world of doors through his work. The giveaway prize, a 24"x 36" canvas print of "Promenade dans la Vieille Ville" (French Riviera) and valued at $450, will be on display at Pericot's booth during the festival where registration will take place. The winner will be announced during the final hour of the art show. No purchase will be necessary to participate.
