Holly Hunter Joins Al Pacino in Upcoming Drama MANGLEHORN

Variety reports Holly Hunter will has signed on to David Gordon Green's drama, MANGLEHORN. The actress will star opposite Al Pacino in the project financed and produced by Worldview Entertainment. The news was announced at the Toronto Film Festival.

Hunter will portray an "ex-criminal who is leading a placid life until he returns to his former ways." Paul Logan penned the script. Production is set to get underway this fall on location in Austin, Texas.

Hunter starred in The Piano for which she won the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role and Academy Award for Best Actress, among other awards. She has also been nominated for Oscars for her roles in Broadcast News, The Firm, and Thirteen.

She has also won two Emmy Awards with seven nominations and has won a Golden Globe Award with another six nominations. She has earned 25 awards and 61 nominations in total.
