According to today's Page Six of the New York Post, ABC executives may have their eye on Today show co-host Hoda Kotb as a possible replacement for 'The View's Joy Behar, who will soon Exit the show after a 16-year run.

Kotb has shared screen time with co-host Kathie Lee Gifford on the NBC morning show since 2007. The fourth hour has proven to be a ratings win for NBC, despite the fact that The Today Show has lost its footing during the three hours which precede it.

According to the source, the Barbara Walters led chatfest is "very interested" in Kotb and has already "reached out to her camp." "Hoda addresses several of their needs," reveals another media insider. "She has news experience, which is something 'The View' has not had since Meredith Vieira left. She also adds some diversity to the panel."

The View has experienced a mass exodus of a sort in recent months, beginning with Behar's announcement that she would retire from the show on August 9th. That news was followed by the highly anticipated Exit of Walters set for 2014. Earlier this month, the show's conservative spokeswoman, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, shared a tearful farewell with viewers as she bid adieu from the show. She will soon be replaced by controversial comedian Jenny McCarthy.

A source close to Kotb told the Post, "Hoda loves her job at 'Today' and she's very happy laughing and scratching with Kathie Lee every day," while a rep for ABC maintains, "There's absolutely zero truth to this whatsoever."
