Beginning in February the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Museum will embark on a educational promotion entitled '28 Days of Hip Hop and History' celebrating Black History Month. Each day the Hip Hop Hall will highlight the contributions of a Hip Hop Legend or Icon, and also a Historical figure in Black History on its official website http://hiphophof.org. This is part of the development of a 'Hip Hop Pedia' encyclopedia for the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Museum.

The objective of the campaign is to enlighten, inspire, and educate hip hop youth and families about its legends, and the heroes of Black History that paved the way and opened doors for civil rights, social justice, entertainment, business, politics, health care, religion, education, science, and technology. Hip Hop has had a major influence and social impact on many of the various sectors of the economy beyond music. 'We wanted to highlight some of these icons who have made a difference in the lives of others in our communities and around the world,' stated Chairman JT Thompson, of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame.

Fans are encouraged to join the Hip Hop Hall of Fame team by securing a VIP Membership for $35 which includes fans being enshrined in the 'Fan Wall of Fame Museum Exhibit,' and fans can donate directly in the upcoming Hip Hop Hall of Fame 'Kick-Starter Crowd Fundraising Campaign' for the temporary 'Pop Up Museum' in Harlem, New York. Special prizes and gifts will be announced including attending the upcoming Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards TV Show in May. The pop-up museum facility will open later this year as a temporary space until the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Museum development in Midtown Manhattan is completed. 'We are looking forward to partnering with educators, artists, and the community in the pop-up museum programming even after the main museum is completed,' stated DJ Lord Yoda X who serves on the development team.
