LML Music previously announced the August 2013 release of SHADES OF BLUE, a new recording from singer Harold Sanditen. Sanditen recorded SHADES OF BLUE live at The Pheasantry, London UK in November 2012, supported by a lively crowd of players including Michael Roulston, Dave Olney, Paul Merser, Bob Sydor and Steve Bentley-Klein. He will celebrate with one show at The Metropolitan Room in New York City tonight, October 9 at 7 p.m. Shows in Tulsa and London are also planned.

"I absolutely love the magic that comes from performing live," says Sanditen, a Londoner (since 1987) who was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. "Audiences feed singers, so you almost always get something in a live performance that you simply cannot replicate in a studio."

SHADES OF BLUE is a smooth mesh of jazz-cabaret, filled with diverse material that allowed Sanditen to explore his fascination with the word "blue" - from music and sound to color - and naughty to nice. Tunes like Irving Berlin's "Blue Skies" Live alongside companions like Stevie Nicks "Landlside," Jobim's "No More Blues," and "The Waters of March," as well a ditty titled "Blues My Naughty Sweetie Gives to Me."

A song and dance man in high school and college musicals, Sanditen began performing professionally in 2008 after a successful twenty-year career as an international theater producer, and a three-year stint as an investment banker in New York City. A colleague from Wharton, where Sanditen received his MBA, introduced him to the world of New York City cabaret in 2006 while he was in town producing a play, and he was smitten with the genre.

Sanditen released his debut CD, TAKING FLIGHT, in 2010. Quickly, he was performing at The Duplex, Don't Tell Mama and The Metropolitan Room in New York, Pizza on the Park, The Pheasantry and Crazy Coqs in London, where incidentally, Sanditen hosts a new open mic weekly.

SHADES OF BLUE disc and digital downloads are available through LMLMusic.com, iTunes, Amazon.com, and many other traditional and online retailers.

This fall, Sanditen returns to NYC tonight, October 9 at 7 p.m. to launch SHADES OF BLUE. The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street. Phone 212.206.0440 for reservations or purchase online at metropolitanroom.com/show.
