Harbor Lights Announces Theme Nights Throughout THE BIKINIS Run

Things are heating up for the summer at The Harbor Lights Theater Company! Up next: The Bikinis- a musical beach party which comes to Staten Island's only professional Equity Theater Company direct from runs at two Tony award- winning other regional theaters; Goodspeed Musicals, and Long Wharf Theatre, both in Connecticut.

The show features a list of familiar hits from the 60's, 70's and early 80's such as, "Chapel of Love," "It's In His Kiss," "Under The Boardwalk," ","Last Dance," "The Twist," and "I Will Survive," and many more.

The show concerns the reunion of a one-hit-wonder girl group from the Jersey Shore with one of the characters being a friend from right here on Staten Island. The cast of Broadway veterans have been garnering rave reviews.

Harbor Lights has created a special role (Chairman of the Board of Sandy Shores Mobile Home Association) which different local celebrities will play nightly. Some are announced below, others are to be announced shortly. A series of special events are also planned for various groups throughout the borough. See list below.

The show runs Thursdays through Sundays August 7 - 17, 2104 at The Music Hall at Snug Harbor Cultural Center. A Wine & Beer bar will open one hour before each performance and remain open one hour after each performance to add to the party atmosphere.

OPENING NIGHT - Thursday August 7th at 8 PM. Red Carpet event with a special local celebrity to be announced at a later date.

FIRST RESPONDERS NIGHT - Friday, August 8th at 8 PM. All first responders will receive a 15% discount on tickets. Fireman Chief John LaBarbera representing the Stephen Siller Foundation will be the guest performer. A special free beer tasting is being arranged, curated by Abode Blues. First responders should use the code: firstfriday15 when purchasing tickets.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT - Saturday, August 9th at 8 PM. A free wine tasting will be curated by The Wine Girl, Deb McCole. The evening includes a special appearance of the hunky "Lifeguard #23" just for the ladies.

STATEN ISLAND NOT FOR PROFITS NIGHT - Thursday August 14, 2014 at 8 PM. Members of the Staten Island Not-for-Profit Association will receive a 15% discount on tickets. Vin Lenza, the head of SINPA will play the part of Guest Performer this night. Members can gather before and after the show at the Harbor Lights bar. If a member of the SINPA use: sinfpa15 code when purchasing tickets.
