In addition, the members of "The Angry Inch," Hedwig's band - his "ambassadors of Eastern Bloc rock" - will be music director Justin Craig (guitar and keyboards), Matt Duncan (bass), Tim Mislock (guitar), and Peter Yanowitz (drums). Casting for the role of Yitzak will be announced in the coming weeks.

The limited engagement of Hedwig and the Angry Inch will begin previews Saturday, March 29, 2014 and open Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street).

"Internationally ignored song stylist" Hedwig Robinson (Neil Patrick Harris) brings her fourth-wall-smashing rock and roll saga to New York to set the record straight about her life, her loves, and the botched operation that left her with that "angry inch."

HEDWIG is Harris' first appearance on Broadway since he starred as The Balladeer/Lee Harvey Oswald in the 2004 Tony-winning revival ofAssassins. His other Broadway credits include Proof and Cabaret. He is currently in production for the final season of the beloved CBS comedy "How I Met Your Mother" and has been honored with four Emmy Awards: three for his acclaimed hosting of the Tony Awards and another for his guest-starring role on "Glee." His upcoming film projects include Fox's Gone Girl, Universal's A Million Ways to Die in the West, and Disney/Pixar's The Good Dinosaur.

HEDWIG has inspired a generation of young theatre writers and audiences. The show was called "the Best Rock Musical Ever" by Rolling Stone and "the most exciting rock score written for the theatre since, oh, ever," by Time Magazine.

HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH was originally produced by David Binder off off Broadway at Westbeth and then, under the direction ofPeter Askin, ran over two years at the Jane Street Theatre beginning in February 1998. The musical won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical and both John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask won Obies in 2001. It won a 1998 New York Magazine Award and Entertainment Weekly's "Soundtrack of the Year" Award. Time Magazine named HEDWIG the Top Musical of 1998.

The film of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, directed by John Cameron Mitchell, won the Audience Award and Best Director Awards at Sundance. Mitchell won the Best New Director from the National Board of Review, the Gotham Awards, and the LA Critics Society. Stage productions have played for many years in Japan and in 2008, Korea hosted a popular televised reality show about the search for a new star to play Hedwig.

David Binder, who first produced HEDWIG in 1997, is producing the musical on Broadway with Jayne Baron Sherman, and Barbara Whitman. 101 Productions, Ltd are the executive producers.

Neil Patrick Harris (Hedwig). Equally successful on stage and screen, Neil Patrick Harris currently stars as Barney Stinson in the hit CBS television series, "How I Met Your Mother," a role which has garnered him multiple Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominations. Harris is a four-time Emmy Award winner for his guest-starring role on "Glee," and as host of the 63rd, 65th, and 66th Annual Tony Awards. He also served as host and producer of the 61st and 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, as well as the 67th Annual Tony Awards.

From his film debut opposite Whoopi Goldberg in Clara's Heart and his seminal role as the beloved titular character in "Doogie Howser, M.D.," to his roles in the Harold & Kumar and The Smurfs franchise films, Harris has enjoyed a successful career spanning more than 25 years in the industry. He is currently in production on David Fincher's highly-anticipated feature film,Gone Girl, opposite Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, based on the hugely successful novel by Gillian Flynn. Neil also recently wrapped filming on the upcoming comedy feature, A Million Ways to Die in the West, starring Seth MacFarlane, Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, and Sarah Silverman.

In addition to his numerous film and television credits, Harris has also enjoyed success in the theater. He tackled the leading role of Bobby in the New York Philharmonic's recent concert staging of Stephen Sondheim's Company. Additionally, Harris has starred in three Broadway productions, including the dual role of The Balladeer/Lee Harvey Oswald in the Tony Award-winning production of Assassins. Harris made his Broadway debut as Anne Heche's unexpected suitor in Proof, and he later starred as the exuberant emcee in Cabaret at Studio 54. Among Harris' other theatrical credits include Amadeus (LA Philharmonic); All My Sons (Geffen Theater); tick, tick...BOOM! (Menier Chocolate Factory); The Paris Letter (Kirk Douglas Theater); Sweeney Todd(San Francisco Symphony Orchestra); Romeo and Juliet (Old Globe Theater); and Rent (Los Angeles touring production).

Harris most recently mixed his love of magic and theater in directing Nothing to Hide, which is currently in previews at the Pershing Square Signature Center in New York, following its lauded run at the Geffen Theater in Los Angeles. He made his musical directorial debut with a production of Rent at the Hollywood Bowl, and he also served as director of I Am Grock (El Portal Theater) and The Expert at the Card Table (Ediburgh Fringe Festival and Broad Stage Theater).

John Cameron Mitchell (Book). John's New York stage appearances included Broadway's Big River, The Secret Garden, Six Degrees of Separation, and Larry Kramer's The Destiny of Me for which he won an Obie Award. He starred in and wrote the book for the original 1998 Off-Broadway production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch for which he won an Obie Award along with co-creator composer Stephen Trask. In 2001 John directed, wrote, and starred in the film adaptation which won him Best Director at Sundance and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor. He was executive producer of Jonathan Caouette's documentary Tarnation (2004) and his sexually frank improv-based film Shortbus was released in 2006. He directed Rabbit Hole(2011) adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning play and starring Nicole Kidman in an Oscar-nominated performance.

He's also appearing as a recurring character on the HBO series "Girls" and preparing to direct a film adaptation of Neil Gaiman's punk era story How to Talk to Girls at Parties.

Stephen Trask (Music and Lyrics) first came to notice as the co-creator/composer/lyricist of the award winning stage musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, for which Stephen won an Obie Award, Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding off-Broadway Musical, a 1998 New York Magazine Award, Drama Desk nominations for Outstanding Music, Lyrics, and New Musical, a Grammy nomination for Best Cast Album, two GLAMA Awards, and Entertainment Weekly Best Soundtrack Award for 2001. The play was then developed into a feature film release by Fine Line Features in 2001. Since 2003, Stephen has been scoring films on both the independent and studio level for directors as diverse as Tom McCarthy (Station Agent, Miramax Films), Paul Weitz (In Good Company, American Dreamz, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant, Universal Pictures; Little Fockers, Universal Pictures), Todd Graff (Camp, IFC Productions/Jersey Films/Killer Films), Tamara Jenkins, (The Savages, Fox Searchlight), Jon Kasdan (In the Land of Women, Warner Brothers), Robert Benton (Feast of Love, MGM/Lakeshore), John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Fine Line), Sean Anders (Sex Drive, Summit Entertainment), Bill Condon (Dreamgirls, Dreamworks/Paramount), Alan Poul, (The Back-up Plan, CBS Films), Tom Vaughn (So Undercover, Exclusive Media), Rob Epstein, Jeffrey Friedman (Lovelace). Michael Mayer (Director) made his Metropolitan Opera debut last season with a celebrated new production of Rigoletto. He was most recently represented on Broadway with On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Everyday Rapture, and American Idiot (for which he won the Drama Desk Award for Direction). He received the 2007 Tony Award, as well as Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for his production of Spring Awakening, which also played in London, Vienna, Tokyo, and Seoul. His other Broadway credits include: Side Man (Tony Award/Best Play); Thoroughly Modern Millie (Tony Award/Best Musical); A View from the Bridge (Tony Award/Best Rivival); Uncle Vanya; 'night, Mother; After the Fall; You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; and Triumph of Love. Spencer Liff (Musical Staging). Spencer's choreography has been seen for the last five seasons on the hit FOX television series "So You Think You Can Dance." His work on the show earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Choreography in 2012. In 2013 Spencer choreographed the Emmy Awards starring Neil Patrick Harris. Other television choreography credits include "Dancing with the Stars," "How I Met Your Mother," "Parks and Recreation," and the upcoming MTV series "Happyland." On stage, Spencer's choreography credits include Sleepless in Seattle at Pasadena Playhouse, Two Gentleman of Verona: A Rock Opera for The Shakespeare Theater Company, a newly imagined production of Oliver! For The Human Race Theater, Spring Awakening (workshop for Deaf West Theater), A Snow White Christmas and Aladdin for Lythgoe Family Productions, On a Clear Day... for MTW (director /choreographer), The Wedding Singer for MTW, Saturday Night Fever for Royal Caribbean, two original shows for Disney's newest cruise ship The Fantasy, and Broadway by the Year at Town Hall in NYC. As a performer, Spencer has been a charismatic presence on stage and screen. He earned his Equity card at the young age of seven in the First National Tour of The Will Rogers Follies directed by Tommy Tune. He made his Broadway debut in Big: The Musical, followed by The Wedding Singer, Cry-Baby, Equus, and 9 to 5. Spencer won the 2008 Fred Astaire Award as Best Male Dancer on Broadway for his role in Cry-Baby for which he was also assistant choreographer and dance captain. Film and television credits includeHairspray (Mikey), Across The Universe (Daniel), Footloose, "Smash," and "Gypsy" with Bette Midler. Spencer has danced for two Presidents of The United States and performed on The Tony Awards five times, The Academy Awards two times, The Kennedy Center Honors four times, and The Grammy Awards.

Julian Crouch (Scenic Design) is a Brooklyn-based independent director, designer, writer, maker, teacher, illustrator, and musician, whose career has spanned theatre, opera, ballet, film, and television. Initially a mask and puppet maker, with much of his life based in London, in the mid-1990's co-founded London's Improbable Theatre Company. Improbable's productions, which included Animo, 70 Hill Lane, Lifegame, Spirit, Sticky, The Hanging Man, The Wolves In The Walls, and Panic, have gained far-reaching national and international recognition. His final production for Improbable which he conceived, directed, and designed was The Devil and Mister Punch. Julian co-created, co-directed, and designed the multi-award winning Shockheaded Peter. His opera work has included set design and associate direction for Satyagraha for the ENO and The Met Opera, and creating The Enchanted Island, Doctor Atomic, and staging the 125th Gala for the Met. Other major projects include Jerry Springer: The Opera and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum for the National Theatre, The Magic Flute for the Welsh National Opera, and Cinderella for the Dutch National and San Francisco Ballets. On Broadway, Julian designed The Addams Family Musical and Big Fish. Most recently Julian co-directed and designed Jedermann for the Salzburg Festival. Currently he is designing Le Petit Prince for Lausanne Opera, and Dreigroschenoper for the Salzburg Festival. Julian was recently Artist in Residence at New York's Park Avenue Armory and is the first commissioned artist for the BRIC House Fireworks Residency Program in Brooklyn, NY.

ARIAnne Phillips (Costume Design) is one of the most unique costume designers in the entertainment industry, a gifted visual artist who brings her exemplary eye to film, fashion, and music. Known for her cutting edge designs, Arianne has been recognized with her second Oscar nomination in 2012 for Best Costume Design for Madonna's 2012 directorial debut W.E. as well as winning the Costume Guild prestigious industry award for Best Costume Design for W.E. Arianne's first Oscar nomination was in 2006 for Walk the Line. She was also honored in 2010 with a BAFTA nomination for Costume Design for Tom Ford's A Single Man. Her career as a costume designer includes notable films such as 2010's Knight and Day starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz; Tom Ford's 2009 directorial debut starring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore for A Single Man; 3:10 to Yuma starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale; One Hour Photo; Girl, Interrupted; The People vs. Larry Flynt; Identity; Hedwig and the Angry Inch; Tank Girl; and The Crow. Arianne is currently in London designing costumes for the 2014 release of Secret Service reuniting Phillips with Colin Firth, as well as Sir Michael Caine and Samuel L. Jackson. Phillips is also known for her work with Madonna, with whom she has been collaborating since 1997. Her collaboration with Madonna for the past 16 years includes such diverse projects as print for her album covers and magazine editorials, over twenty music videos, London's West End theater production of Up For Grabs, the film Swept Away, as well as the award winning costumes for the singer's past five world tours: the 2001 Drowned World tour, 2004 Reinvention tour, the 2006 Confessions Tour, 2008/2009 Sticky and Sweet tour, and 2012 world tour forMDNA. In between film and music projects, Phillips also works as a freelance fashion editor/stylist, collaborating with photographers for such publications as Italian Vogue, Japanese Vogue, Russian Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, W, and Numero, to name a few. Arianne also lends her expertise and talent to consulting for well-known fashion and cosmetic brands, of which she is an industry favorite. Arianne's diversity in the world of fashion and costumes is a natural fit for her far reaching interests and talents, which has set her apart from her peers as a tastemaker and visionary.

Kevin Adams (Lighting Design) designed the original Westbeth and Jane Street Theatre productions of Hedwig and the Angry Inch as well as the Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, London, and Edinburgh productions. He also designed the premiers of American Idiot (Tony Award),Spring Awakening (Tony Award), Next To Normal (Tony nomination), Hands on a Hardbody, The Scottsboro Boys, Everyday Rapture, Passing Strange, Take Me Out, the American production of The 39 Steps (Tony and Drama Desk Awards), and the revivals of Hair (Tony nomination), Rent, and Carrie. He designed solo shows for Eric Bogosian, Eve Ensler, John Leguizamo, and Anna Deveare Smith. AlsoRigoletto at the Metropolitan Opera and Sandra Bernhard's 1990 film Without You I'm Nothing. He has designed new work by Tony Kushner, Neil Simon, Terrance McNally, Edward Albee, and Christopher Durang and received an Obie and two Lortel awards for his work Off-Broadway.

Mike Potter (Hair and Makeup Design). Born and raised in rural Delaware, Mike began doing wigs and make up at a very young age. He's painted, been interested, and worked in the arts since. At the University of Delaware he received a B.S. in resource economics. Post-university, and after living in London, he moved to New York City. Mike has done the wigs and make up for Hedwig since the early days with John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask at Squeezebox, Westbeth, Fez, and the Jane Street Theatre amongst others. Mike also did Mitchell's adaptation of Hedwig for film. Mike has since worked in the fashion, film, and music industries and owns and runs his own cosmetics company. Hedwig is his first foray into Broadway. Mike currently lives and works in New York City.

TIMOTHY O'HEIR (Sound Design). A recording producer/engineer for over 20 years, Tim began his career at the legendary Fort Apache Studios in Boston. A founder and partner of Fort Apache/MCA Records, he spent most of the '90s working with many influential artists such as Superdrag (Atlantic), Come, Homestead, Sebadoh, SubPop, and Jay Mascis (Blanco y Negro) as well as producing the soundtrack to the critically lauded Kids (Miramax Films). Upon relocating to New York in 1999, he expanded his resume by engineering and mixing scores to films including Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Fine Line); In Good Company, In the Land of Women (Universal); and The Savages (Fox Searchlight), all composed by Stephen Trask. A platinum-selling producer, Tim O'Heir's work in the last decade with The All American Rejects (Dreamworks), StellaStarr* (RCA) and Say Anything (Doghouse/J Records), among others has kept him a top choice for young bands looking to refine their sound. Tim's work also spans sound design and audio editorial for film (Prey for Rock and Roll, Prey LLC), theatre, (In Search of Cleo with Gina Gershon), and video games.

Justin Craig (Music Director) is a musician, record producer, composer, and now Broadway music director based in Brooklyn, NY. Born in Lexington, KY on Halloween, he grew up music obsessed, picking up the guitar at age 12, and starting his recording career at 17 working with producer Duane Lundy at Shangri-La Studios. While mastering recording and production techniques, he also worked frequently as a multi-instrumentalist session musician. This led him to collaborating with countless artists spanning all genres of music. In between studio sessions, Justin produced albums for and toured extensively with the bands The Scourge of the Sea, Englishman, These United States, and Vandaveer. Recently he composed the scores for the 2013 short film Keep the Change, directed by Rachel Israel, and the 2010 animated short Barko, directed by Allison Craig. His work can be heard in many major film scores, and his current film credits include Admission(2013 - score mixer, multi-instrumentalist), Lovelace (2013 - score mixer, multi-instrumentalist), Little Fockers (2010 - multi-instrumentalist), The Backup Plan (2010 - guitarist), Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009 multi-instrumentalist, engineer), andSex Drive (2008 - guitarist). Before embarking on Hedwig, Justin spent much of 2013 playing lead guitar in the hit Broadway musicalSpider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.

Ethan Popp (Music Supervisor). Liz Caplan (Vocal Supervisor) has been vocal coaching in NYC since 1978 and lectures around the world. Liz is the vocal supervisor of Once(Broadway, US tour), The Book of Mormon (Broadway, North American companies), American Idiot (Broadway and national tour), Rock of Ages, Motown: The Musical, and Jason Robert Brown's 13. Liz is a vocal consultant on Wicked, First Date, and The Last Goodbye (Old Globe). Liz also had the pleasure of working as a consultant on Next to Normal, In the Heights, and the Library of Congress Salute to Burt Bacharach. Her students star in principle roles on Broadway and as artists in the recording industry: Sara Bareilles, James Blunt, Natasha Bedingfield, Eric Hutchinson, Empire of the Sun, Lily Allen, The Goo Goo Dolls, The Darkness. Some have been the recipients of the prestigious Tony Awards: Nikki James(The Book of Mormon), Steve Kazee (Once), and Patina Miller (Pippin).
