This spring, THEATER 4the PEOPLE will present HAZARD A LITTLE DEATH, a new play written by Sara Fellini (Inheritance, And Eat it Too) and directed by Isaac James Byrne (The Other Mozart, Tar Baby, To Nineveh), as part of the 6th Annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. The Festivity will take place May 12 through June 8 at the Paradise Factory.

Two burned lovers re-ignite a tense and charged affair that conjures up the spirits of the past. An eccentric Résistance fighter, a searingly hopeful widow, and a spurned and unrequited lover resurrect to smoke their cigarettes once more while a time bomb ticks away between the two former flames. A nondescript café that exists in every era serves as the backdrop to the events onstage, as multiple generations simultaneously re-live the greatest loves and losses of their lives. History turns back over itself, a perne in a gyre, and the lines between our ancestors and ourselves blur as love and fear stand the test of time and circumstance.

HAZARD A LITTLE DEATH will star Adam Belvo (Butcher Holler Here We Come, Kill Devil Hills, As You Like It) as Georges, the abrasive Frenchman suffering from self-hatred and disordered eating and Sara Fellini (Unravelling Shakespeare, The Silver Screen Parade) as Florence, his estranged lover struggling to reign in their sexual tension and build a foundation on unstable ground. The production will also feature Kaitlan Emery (Mass, Writopia Worldwide Pants Festival) as Lily, Mary-Anne Wright (The Cranky Cabaret, Songs for a New World) as Audré, Cait Murphy (Columbia, SHOUT: The Mod Musical) as Charlotte, and Antonio Thompson (Actoria, Francis, Golden Boy) as Henry.

HAZARD A LITTLE DEATH will feature a minimalist scenic design to underscore the fluidity of time and place in this particular café, with lighting design by Greg Levine.
