HARDBALL Takes A25-54 Demo, Week of 2/3

MSNBC's "Hardball" with Chris Matthews ranked #1 at 7 p.m. in the key A25-54 demo for the week of February 3-7, according to data from Nielsen. "Hardball" finished the week with 285,000 among A25-54, topping FNC's "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren" with 282,000 A25-54 and CNN's "Erin Burnett Outfront" with 111,000 A25-54. This is MSNBC's first weekly demo win at 7 p.m. since Sept. 3, 2012 (live coverage from the 2012 Democratic National Convention).

MSNBC had another strong ratings week with 9 p.m., topping the competition in the time period for the week of Feb. 3-7. "The Rachel Maddow Show" had 341,000 A25-54, topping Fox News Channel's combined "The Kelly File" and "Kelly File Special" ( FNC's retitled special on Friday) with 335,000 A25-54 and CNN "Piers Morgan Live" with 103,000 A25-54. This is the second week this year that MSNBC at 9 p.m. has ranked #1 among A25-54.

"The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell" at 10 p.m. was just behind FNC's "Hannity" for the week - "The Last Word" had 265,000 A25-54 - only 2,000 behind "Hannity's" average of 267,000 A25-54. Both shows aired Monday - Thursday.
