Vogue is welcoming the New Year with Gwen Stefani sparkling in a black and gold on the cover of their January 2013 issue. Stefani, wearing head to toe Saint Laurent Paris, was photographed by Annie Liebovitz.

Stefani is always a great choice for a cover. She has a strong presence in both the music and fashion industry with her solo career, No Doubt and own fashion line. Plus, her strong female voice and unique sense style makes her a great role model for young women. And she's gorg.

In addition to Stefani, the January issue features an editorial with Carolyn Murphy and Karen Elson photographed by Steven Klein (styled by Grace Coddington); Edie Campbell and Karlie Kloss in a 60s-style editorial photographed by Craig McDean (styled by Camilla Nickerson); and Cara Delevingne in an editorial photographed by Boo George.
