I know, it seems like just last week it was mid-April or May around the hallways of McKinley, but now it's suddenly Christmastime and the Gleeks are rockin around the Christmas tree? Oh Glee, we love you, but what even is your time frame? Tonight is the final Glee episode of 2013, and what better way to say peace out to 2013 than with the annual Glee Christmas episode. It's a Merry Gleemas, y'all!

Jane Lynch introduces the episode explaining that this episode was too hot for TV last year and was cut down to be allowed to air on Fox this year. Uh, whatever you say Jane Lynch, but let's not forget how perfect Glee, Actually was, shall we? Flashbacking to Christmas 2012 - the glee club is gearing up for a Christmas decoration contest with Tina at the helm, being as psychotic and ridiculous as usual. Santana has crash landed her sleigh into the Hummel-Berry loft and is celebrating the holidays the best way she knows how - expensive gifts and sarcasm, of course. Back in Lima, the McKinley non-denominational Christmas club is taking to the task of creating a living nativity to replace the defaced nativity outside. Sue challenges Sam and Tina to come up with something good for the decoration contest since she's the judge, and going to be her usual harsh self.

Rachel gets herself, Santana, and Kurt jobs working as elves in a crowded Santaland from hell, where the Santa is not even remotely interested in dealing with his elves and escapes the North Pole for a little time with Jack and Daniel. Being the uber prepared girl she is, Rachel musters up the Christmas spirit with help from Santana and Kurt performing "Here Comes, Santa Claus", but the performance is anything but a hit as the angry kids begin to throw things and heckle them.

Marley tries to spread her nice list magic, but Kitty is not even remotely interested in the Olive Branch of Christmas cheer that Marley is toting to gather all the girls together to go into the audition for Mary united. Santana bails on Kurt and Rachel as Santa falls flat, prompting them to interrupt her relaxing bath to beg her to return to play Mrs. Claus. The McKinley kids get into the Christmas spirit and begin decorating the McKinley halls with a little "Rockin around the Christmas Tree". Santana takes to the role of Mrs. Claus in her usual way - snarky, sassy, flawless, just like we have come to know and love, while Rachel and Kurt look on in pure terror. The Glee club nails the "decorate green" theme with recycled materials, impressing Sue, who was disappointed in Becky for not getting the concept.

The living nativity has a singing element - shocker of all shocks, and Coach Bieste rounds up Mr. Schue and Will to help with the auditions for Mary - which is kicked off by Marley, Unique, and Tina with "Mary's Little Boy Child", which is hit amongst the crowd, except for Kitty. When the ghetto Santaland is Santa-less, hottie Santa known as Cody shows up to save the day, bringing joy to Kurt's world with his washboard abs, before inviting himself to dinner at the Hummelpezberry loft. The glee kids are harking those herald angels as they are named winners of the Christmas decoration contest, pissing off Becky, who snaps and breaks her xylophone. Kurt goes out of his way to accommodate Cody, who shows up in all his hot Santa glory for dinner. Cody soaks in the Christmas spirit around the loft, before getting Santana, Kurt, and Rachel to channel their inner Chipmunks with "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)". Becky presents Tina and Sam with an awkward Christmas gift of her baby teeth, despite thinking that she herself should have won. Rachel and Santana have a heart to heart and Rachel brings up the idea of having Santana move in, before something raises a clatter bringing the chat to a halt: Cody and Kurt making out in his room.

Rachel and Santana awake ho-ho-hungover to find that their hot Santa was a Grinch in disguise, who not only led Kurt on and tied him up, but stole all of their Christmas cheer and nice things. The glee club plots to get Kitty to take the role of Mary, while Sam and Tina decide to give up the angel they won in the decoration contest to Becky. After the glee club led by brand new Mary Unique (channeling her inner Deloris from Sister Act) performs "Love Child", Kitty stands her ground at the horror of what has befallen the greatest story ever told, and takes the bait - and the role of Mary in one swoop.

Sam and Tina spreading the Christmas spirit by giving Becky the angel, as well as the leading role of Jesus in the living nativity, which pleases Ms. Jackson, if you're nasty. Rachel informs Santana and Kurt that Cody ripped off Santaland, and gets them another gig to make up for the Santaland fiasco. The living nativity goes off perfectly with Becky as their Jesus, and Kitty as Mary, and the harmonizing sounds of "Away in A Manager". Meanwhile in New York, Kurt, Santana, and Rachel play window dressing in a holiday window, looking gorgeous and also singing a little Christmas hymn action. The snow begins to fall on New York and Lima, and in that moment - they were one. And to you I say - Merry Gleemas to all; and to all a good night.

Tonight marks the fall finale of Glee, and the last episode (and Glee-Cap) of 2013, but fret not - Glee will return in February with brand new episodes - even returning to their original night and time. So, I shall see you all in 20gleeking14. May you all have a bright and merry Christmas, a happy and healthy holiday, and a shiny and special New Year! I shall see you all Tuesday, February 25th, 2014!
