Trouble arrives in the newest episode of Glee. With Sectionals nearing, Will hurries out to see the competition. And wouldn't you know American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez - Frida Romero - who is clearly the bees-knees in the show choir world, is part of that competition.

After hearing her sing Mr. Schue quickly insists that the New Directions perform anthems... then darkness. No seriously, the lights go out and Figgins announces that it isn't a drill and that there really is a power outage. So, (unlike real life where they would've brought someone in to fix the lights or cancelled school until the lights were repaired) school continues with flashlights and Mr. Schuester changes the lesson to fit the lightlessness, "Unplugged."

We're all still wondering who "Katie" is on the Ryder Lynn front.

Flash over to New York, where Santana brings in a ratty chair and insists Kurt fixes it up. And looky there, it's time for some more "family loft chat," where we learn Santana has been groped for tips at the Coyote Ugly Bar, and also cage dances. Rachel tries to get her to change her path, telling her roomie that she needs to focus on her talent. Santana declines and then admits she isn't sure what her dream is, she's still trying to figure it out.

Back at McKinley, Sam starts singing "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" by the Righteous Brothers, a song he was apparently conceived to. After singing and seeing Artie on his phone Sam loses it and tells everyone that they're too wrapped up in Twitter and their blogs and need to get with the new, lightless, program.

Back to NY, at Vogue, Kurt and Isabelle are planning a party. Kurt talks about how he hasn't been at Vogue a lot, due to NYADA, and the disucuss Burt's on the rise health - he's returned to work and his treatments are going well - back to the party though, Kurt (and his pals, obviously) are invited. After this we head back to Lima and find out that Sue is now working at a fitness center and she loves it.

However, this fitness center is straight out of some crazed, eighties, fitness fetish loving crazy's mind. It's one of the most sexual things they've done on Glee. Blaine, who's in the class, talks about Roz's madness and how he thinks the Cheerios need Sue back. When then head back to New York and find out about Kurt and Rachel's ballet dancing pasts - and Santana tells us that she "skipped that crap to study the timeless art of kronk." Both girls agree to go to the party though. Duh.

Now it's time for secrets, after a really touching performance of "Everybody Hurts" he tells the club his babysitter molested him. Sam and Artie both insist that he wasn't molested and that was lucky, surely a guy can't be molested by a girl. That doesn't happen. Will is really respectful and tries to help Ryder who ultimately laughs it off so that the subject can be dismissed.

Something's wrong with Kitty - and it took me less than a minute to figure out what it was. Kitty and Ryder head to the only restaurant in Lima, Breadstix, and talk... Kitty admits that she was molested too. It was her friend's older brother and that she was there for Ryder. Sweetness ensues and I have to applaud Becca Tobin for being a bitch ninety percent of the time, and yet still managing to tug on my heart strings like no other.

Also Kitty and Puck are over. Shocking.

At school the next day, the kids make some pretty rad, traditional instrument-free music. Pounding on trash cans and lids, New Directions perform "We Will Rock You." It goes well and everyone is pleased with the outcome.

Come back from commercial, we see Sue watching a Cheerios practice. Becky approaches her, out of uniform, and tells Sue that she's thinking of quitting because Roz is mean. Flashback to Roz making insensitive jokes about Becky actually being Robyn (Sue's baby, in case you forgot), Sue sings "Little Girls" and then comes back and tells Becky she doesn't miss being at McKinley and that she's moved on. Later on in the episode though, Becky insults Roz right back and gets sent into the lights off principal's office where it appears she's going to confess to the shooting...

Now, it's the night of the party, Isabelle tells Kurt to watch for drunks, and Rachel asks if they can watch the performance. Isabelle agrees, but when she asks Santana is she wants to join them "watching from the wings - the best spot in the house," Rachel quickly dismisses the suggestion. Telling her that Santana dislikes ballet, which isn't true. We learn Santana's abuela put her into ballet class so she wouldn't be such a tomboy because it pissed her off. The foursome then sing "At the Ballet" from A Chorus Line, and afterward Santana says she loves dancing... she just doesn't know what she wants to do.

Stepping into the mothering role Isabelle tells her that she has plenty of time, and she has to do something she loves. Santana does do what she loves and goes to "NYADA Extension" for some dance class, she says she loves it and she feels like she's lost herself. But she has a fantasy and communicates with her baby-self and swears she won't lose herself again.

Kitty and Ryder have a sort of confrontation in the library where Ryder is "pinging" Katie. Kitty seems to really like Ryder, but he's hung up on Katie... looks like Rytty isn't going to happen. This week anyway.

Acapella comes now, as the Glee kids sing "The Longest Time," using only their voices. It looks like Pitch Perfect 2 is actually just going to be this episode... where's Fat Amy?

And that's it for this week Gleeks, just goes to show that even in the darkest times music and friendship can still find the light. 'Til next time!
