Gleeks, as your BWW.com Glee BFF, I'm totes happy to welcome you back. Now, as a BFF, I have to warn you that tonight is all about the totes anti-BFF known as the frenemy. Now, we all know about frenemies - I mean, come on. Tonight, some of our favorite glee clubbers get their frenemy on. Let's just hope it's not Olympic style frenemy - no whacks to the knee, please. Glee is back, y'all.

Santana deals with a pretty racist customer at the diner, and is feeling not exactly quite so awesome. Rachel attempts to build up Santana's confidence and invites her to join her for her cover shoot at New York magazine as a model for the shoot. Ooh, smell that Pezberry friendship.

Tina and Artie meet for their usual Tuesday lunch, while Tina laments being put on the waiting list at Brown. Artie tries to cheer Tina up by dedicating their remaining Tuesday lunches to music to inspire Tina to be more positive about her future. What better way to kick off this than with "Whenever I Call You Friend". Sue challenges Artie and Tina's friendship by revealing that they are tied for valedictorian, and will compete for the top spot by giving their speeches to a panel of judges.

In New York, Santana tags along to Rachel's shoot, supporting Rachel as a background model and in a version of "Brave" by Sara Bareilles. Tina and Artie battle it out for valedictorian and the claws come out.

Kurt complains about Elliot/Starchild trying to upstage him to Blaine, who gives his fiancée the mantra - keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. Rachel divas out over auditions for her understudy, causing both herself and Santana to bail on band practice. Tina and Artie feud it out to "You're Never Gonna Get It" for the last solo at Nationals. Those claws are out in and full force. Team Artie, y'all! Things get really catty when Tina pushes too hard and knocks over Artie's chair. Not cool, Tina.

Kurt attempts to bond with Elliot, all the while trying to keep his enemy close. Santana shocks Rachel when she comes out swinging to audition as her understudy in Funny Girl - marching her own band out with "Don't Rain on My Parade". The director Rupert is floored with Santana, while Rachel is just floored and speechless.

Elliot brings Kurt to scope out guitars and they channel their inner rock goodness with a little "I Believe in A Thing Called Love". It's glam rock realness, ladies and gents. Tensions are on the rise as Rachel rants to Kurt about Santana auditioning to be her understudy. The claws come out as Rachel and Santana throw down, leading to Rachel slapping Santana. Rachel suggests Santana move out, but while on her way out the door, Santana gets that call - she is Rachel's understudy. Ooh, this is divalicious. Totally season one Smash, am I right?

Tina and Artie meet to settle the score in the speech-off in front of a panel of Figgins, Mr. Schue, Sue herself, and Bieste. Tina and Artie thank each other for helping each other get to where they are now, pushing for the other to be valedictorian. Santana and Rachel get ready to thrown down, but director Rupert comes in and defuses the tension with some reality. Despite Rupert's efforts, tensions are still high as Santana and Rachel rehearse -- all while performing a duet of "Every Breath You Take".

Elliot and Kurt continue to bond, as Elliot calls Kurt on his plan to get closer to him, but assures him that he has no plan to steal Pamela Lansbury from him. The two cement their real friendship with a cheeky selfie where Elliot kisses Kurt's cheek. Back in Ohio, Tina and Artie are shocked when Sue promotes Blaine to valedictorian since the judges couldn't choose between them. Blaine tries to explain to Artie and Tina how he is sorry for how things happened, when Becky interrupts to show off Elliot and Kurt's selfie. Blaine assures Becky that they're just friends, and Klaine lives on. #TeamKlaine.

Blaine tells the glee club that he plans to use a song to be his graduation speech, which he welcomes Artie and Tina to join him in. The tensions are high in the apartment as Rachel and Santana hash it out with Kurt in the middle. Rachel, in typical diva fashion, storms out of the apartment. Blaine, Artie, and Tina perform "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson as possible song for graduation while in New York, Rachel packs to leave the apartment. With a frosty exit, Rachel storms out of the apartment, ripping up a photo of herself and Santana to end their "friendship".

The battle of the ex-roomie Brice's is on, while the glee clubbers inch closer to Nationals and the seniors move toward the future. Welcome back, friends and frenemies. I'll see you right back here next week! Glee is back, and it's so on.
